The results of the XVIII Open Competition of composers named after A.P. Petrov in nomination «The shore of hope»

On September 21, the XVIII Open Competition of Composers named after A.P. Petrov in the nomination «The shore of hope» finished in the Small Hall of the Philharmonic named after Mikhail Glinka. In the first section, the Chamber Orchestra of the St. Petersburg State Conservatory named after Rimsky-Korsakov conducted by the Honored Artist of Russia Arkady STEINLUCHT performed five finalist works of the competition. In the second section, while the competent jury was summing up the results, the music of Frangiz ALIZADE: «Metamorphosis» (Shyshtar) and Andrey PETROV: «There is a new violinist in the orchestra», «I'm walking down Broadway» and two fragments from the ballet «Creation of the World», «Merry Chase» and «Ave Eva» was played for the gathered guests of the competition.
